Part-time Teaching Instructor

Department: Training & Technical Development

Reports to: VP of Training and Technology

Develops knowledge and skills in niche markets such as VRF, Chillers, Hydronic loop systems, boiler service

Attends factory training for the purpose of becoming technical expert in specific niches

First line of defense for tech support for all field employees

Field employee mentorship and development

Performs onsite training at customers’ locations

Identifies external training opportunities (factory, supply house)

Identifies internal training focus topics and helps to develop and/or execute internal training classes

Ensures all proper data is collected and set up in the site for the new location

In House Classroom Training Responsibilities

The instructor will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students in the areas of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration. The ideal candidate has real-world HVACR experience and a passion for teaching and mentoring the next generation of skilled technicians.

Develop lesson plans, course materials, and hands on lab experience

Provide academic support

Evaluate students performance

10+ years HVACR field service experience

Excellent customer service, people and communication skills

Possess strong computer and technical skills

Ability to sit, answer phones, type, and work on computer screen for extended periods of time

Drive a van.

This role will be part time office work, part time HVAC/R service work
