ASN or Nursing Diploma

Strong communication and organizational skills

Proficient computer skills

Certifications and Licenses Required

BLS

Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License

Essential Functions

The Registered Nurse provides nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards and adheres to ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics.

The Registered Nurse ensures safety in practice, embraces evidence-based practice, maintains knowledge, and supports professional development through communication with resource persons and programs.

The Registered Nurse reports identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.

The Registered Nurse demonstrates knowledge of the patient population served.

The Registered Nurse supervises and directs delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other patient care providers.

The Registered Nurse consistently sets and evaluates priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.

The Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualizes the plan of care to meet specific patient needs.
