Registered Nurse Physicians Immediate Care

Registered Nurse (RN)Location: Fall River, MAShifts: 7am to 7pm 7 days a week 7am to 3:30p Monday to FridayThe Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible and accountable for a designated number of patients on the Inpatient Unit. Nurses are responsible for recovery specialists assigned to assist with the care of the patients.Specific Responsibilities:RN renders and supervises care of patients on the Inpatient UnitsImplements specific detoxification protocols as designated by the Medical DirectorParticipates in the evaluation of patient's condition and progress with other team membersObserves patients for clinical signs and symptoms and follows prescribed course of treatmentRN records and reports all pertinent information related to patients' condition and effects of treatmentAssigns duties and supervises Recovery SpecialistsReports to Nursing Administrator on call all emergency, medical and disciplinary situations that require administrative interventionReports to medical doctor, nurse practitioner or psychiatrist, as necessaryParticipates with other staff members in implementing program objectives and philosophyParticipates in regularly scheduled meetings, attends conferences and in-services to keep abreast of new trends in nursing practiceParticipates in the development of the nursing treatment planParticipates in QA as assigned by the nursing directorOther duties as requiredRequired Professional Qualifications:License to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) from the Commonwealth of MassachusettsCurrent certification in BLS/CPRUnderstanding of detoxification regimes in substance abuse a plus but will trainParticipation in required CEU programsExperience with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or NextGen a plusFamiliarity and ability to work with diversity of cultural/socio-economic backgroundsGeneral knowledge of cultural backgrounds of patients to be servedAppreciation of and desire to be part of the treatment team which is dedicated to providing client with optimal therapeutic carePlease email resume to Annmary for immediate consideration.
