RN Registered Nurse - Short Term Care

Job Title

As a member of the interdisciplinary team, contributes professional nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients through the application of the nursing process. Radius rule: will accept locals within 50 miles; 10% reduction to bill rate.

Compensation and Benefits:

NBO: 16 hrs

EMR: EPIC

OT/Holiday: 1.15x multiplier

Call Back: 1.5x multiplier with 2 hr CB minimum

On Call: ***/hr

Charge/Precept: ***/hr

Billable OT:

• 36-40 hrs/week, OT billable after 40
• 48 hrs/week, OT billable after 48

2025 Holidays:

Winter holidays: Required to work 2 of 3 (Christmas, New Years, or Thanksgiving)

Limit of 1 day request off between 11/26/25-11/30/25 and 12/23/25-1/2/26 for all travelers regardless of holidays worked.

Bed Size: 45 bed, 2 OR

Patient Ratios: 1:1-2

Patient Types: High risk ob, antepartum, c-sections, vaginal deliveries

Drips: magnesium, insulin, pitocin

Scrubs: hospital provided

Deliveries/month: 150 @ Methodist, 300-350 at Iowa Methodist

Traveler will be required to float across all campuses; Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran & Iowa Methodist.

Requirements:

~1.5 years current L&D in hospital setting

~ BLS, ACLS, NRP, EFM

• May float to MB/PP
• No 1st time travelers, must have completed one travel contract in previous 12 mos
• Patient Types: High risk ob, antepartum, c-sections, vaginal deliveries
