See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality:Position Overview:As part of the talented Lowe Boats team, you will use engineering principles to design, procure, install and validate manufacturing processes. You will also analyze and plan for labor utilization, equipment requirements, workflow, manufacturing space requirements and layout for maximum efficiency. Also, our ME’s interface with the development team from concept through start of production to ensure the successful launch of new products.Apply Lean Six Sigma methodology to achieve goals and implement all activities across departments. Recommend improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions through listening, engaging employees and problem solving.Essential Functions: Development of manufacturing processes by completing detailed engineering analysis of:Process flowProcess labor planning & line balanceMaterial flow planningPlant layoutFacilities requirement definitionConcurrent Product Process Design- Design for ManufacturingShop floor controls systemsErgonomic analysisRevise or develop Standard WorkAndon/Plant visual managementProcess failure mode and effect analysisRevise or develop manufacturing StandardsWork with cross functional team to update/create PFMEA and assure part measurement validation with Lab personnelThinks Analytically - The ability to break down problems and gain understanding to make effective decisionsDrives for Results - The passion to set and meet high standards of performanceInfluences Others - The ability to persuade others to support your agenda / objectivesDrives Accountability - The ability to establish clear, measurable goals and deliver on commitmentsOther duties as assignedDiversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred; minimum requirement is either a bachelor’s degree with 1-2 years of experience or an associate degree with 5+ years of related experienceMinimum of three (3) years in manufacturing engineering or related manufacturing areaProficiency in Lean tools, data collection, analysis, and problem solving techniquesAbility to read and interpret drawings and specificationsExcellent verbal, written, listening and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively among all levels of the organizationDemonstrated organization and follow up skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and priorities and adapt to changing situationsComputer proficiency with various software including Microsoft, Excel, PowerpointPreferred Qualifications:Lean six sigma Green Belt Certification by a recognized source preferred and demonstrated history a minimumAbility to resolve conflict within team and across teams; investigates routine personnel issues in partnership with HR.CAD 2D and 3D modelingMarine industry experienceWorkding Conditions: Manufacturing environmentSafety equipment required: safety shoes, vision protection, hearing protection, and safety glovesThe hiring range for this position is $57,700 to $92,600 annually. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
