Senior Mechanical Engineering-Design

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for a top aerospace and advanced defense technology client. This engineer will play a critical role in the design, packaging, development, and rapid iteration of hardware supporting spacecraft and hypersonic systems. The ideal candidate will own designs from initial concept through fabrication, assembly, and integration while partnering closely with manufacturing, test, supply chain, and technical teams. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, integration, and hardware development
• Experience using Siemens NX or comparable CAD software
• Strong GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and engineering drawing release experience
• Experience taking hardware from concept through fabrication, assembly, and integration
• Knowledge of aerospace fabrication methods including machining, sheet metal, welded assemblies, and prototype builds
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced engineering environment

Government Secret/Top Secret Security Clearance • Experience with spacecraft, launch, reentry, hypersonic, or other high-performance aerospace systems

• Hardware-rich prototype development experience with rapid design iteration
• Tooling, fixture, or support equipment design experience
• Experience using hand calculations and/or FEA for design validation

Startup or small-team engineering experience
