You'll play an essential role in maintaining patient dignity and continuity of care during a critical moment in recovery.Experience with vital signs, ECGs, medication administration, and infection control in a fast-paced care setting.Teamwork: Ability to collaborate with nurses, physicians, counselors, and support staff to deliver coordinated care.Compassionate Care: A patient-centered approach that supports people in early recovery with empathy and respect.Accurate and professional communication, both written and verbal, and strong documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).Adaptability: Ability to manage varied clinical and administrative duties, from patient monitoring to front office support.Key ResponsibilitiesTake and document vital signs, ECGs, injections, and fingerstick blood tests as ordered.Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transitions of care.Administer scheduled medications under RN and LMP supervision, following safety protocols.Document all clinical activities in the EHR system.Respond to medical and behavioral emergencies, activate emergency protocols, and administer basic life support if needed.Collaborate with all facility staff to ensure high-quality, continuous care.Perform administrative support tasks including inventory, phone answering, and patient reception.QualificationsRequired Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED (preferred)Minimum two years of experience in ambulatory care, outpatient, primary care, or urgent care environmentRequired Certifications and LicensesCurrent Certified Medical Assistant credential from an accredited CMA programBasic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to acquire within 30 days of hireCrisis prevention training (must be completed within 90 days of hire)May require a valid Oregon or Washington driver's license depending on job dutiesRequired Skills and CompetenciesStrong patient care and interpersonal skillsUnderstanding of the "6 Rights" of medication administrationFamiliarity with SUD withdrawal symptoms and treatment (or ability to gain within 6 months)Ability to work respectfully with individuals with substance use or co-occurring conditionsCompetence in using Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systemsReady to Make a Difference?Join CODA, Inc. as a Certified Medical Assistant – Withdrawal Management and help deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to those beginning their recovery journey.
