Job Profile Lead Teller – PNC Retail Banking (Birmingham, AL)

Position Overview As a Lead Teller within PNC’s Retail Banking organization, you will be based in Birmingham, AL. You will coach, mentor, and lead teller staff to deliver a unique customer experience aimed at improving financial wellbeing, building loyalty, and increasing share of wallet.

Job Description Coach, mentor, and lead tellers by example to deliver a customer‑focused experience and improve financial wellbeing.

Process a variety of customer interactions and educate customers on available options and alternatives.

Identify banking opportunities during customer interactions and refer as appropriate.

Conduct lobby engagement activities to connect with customers and position PNC products to meet their needs.

Provide clear communication and problem‑resolution support while handling transactions.

Assist the Branch Manager with performance management and new‑hire selection processes.

Ensure teller and branch daily operations, including maintenance transactions, are completed accurately and efficiently.

Adhere to all policies and procedures, exercising sound judgment within established limits.

Work Experience Roles at this level typically do not require a university or college degree. A high school diploma or GED, along with 1+ years of related experience or product knowledge, is required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job‑specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
