Performs high-quality diagnostic ultrasound procedures fixed and mobile according to the policy and procedures that are provided by the cardiovascular department. A Level 3 (primary vascular) sonographer must be specialized in vascular ultrasound testing. A level 3 Sonographer must be specialized in vascular ultrasound testing with 2 valid registries (registered cardiac sonographer or registered phlebology sonographer). Interacts with medical staff and other outside entities regarding ultrasound matters. Assists vascular surgeons in EVLT procedures. General computer skills as needed. Works positively with all customers to promote patient, employee, and physician satisfaction. Participates in performance improvement initiatives. Participates in staff/student orientation training.
Graduated from accredited or ARRT ultrasound program.
Experience: 5 years in vascular ultrasound preferred. Registered with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in Vascular Technology (RVT) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International in Vascular Ultrasound (RVS) AND one of the following registries: Registered with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in cardiac sonography (RDCS ) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International in Echo Ultrasound (RCS) or Registered Phlebology Sonographer (RPhS) .
