Head of Operations Management (m/w/d)

The Operations Manager-Global Settlements is responsible for providing full oversight, strategic direction, and day-to-day leadership of the associates responsible for the timely and accurate settlement of international equity and fixed-income transactions. This role provides leadership and guidance to the members of Global Settlements team while ensuring the team is delivering on operational excellence, regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and high-quality service to internal and external partners.
Accountable for the supervision of associates responsible for the matching, clearing, and settlement of international equity and fixed-income transactions.
Ensure consistent adherence to global market deadlines, regulatory requirements, and firm policies.
Utilization of available tools and metrics to help associates improve effectiveness and efficiency.
Oversee the maintenance of department policies and procedures.
Collaborate with operations leadership with respect to department decision making.
Maintain an understanding of the work being completed by associates and the status of various projects.
Ensure all internal and external audit requests for data are delivered in a timely manner.
Strong knowledge of international equity and fixed-income settlement practices, including market-specific rules, timelines, and settlement cycles.
Familiarity with global regulatory requirements such as CSDR, local market regulations, and industry best practices for international settlements.
Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills to effectively handle multiple demands while meeting deadlines.
Ability to adapt to changes in functionality, technology, or regulatory policies when necessary.
Excellent relationship building skills.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, or 8+ years of Stifel Experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Ability to obtain proficiency in BETA, CitiDirect, NetX360, and DTC settlement platforms.
