Clinical Pharmacist I - Pharmacy

Per Diem PharmacistWe are looking for a Per Diem Pharmacist to help during busy times and cover vacations if available. Typical days are Monday-Friday, times typically range from 7a-5p dependent on company need with some Saturday help needed at times.The Per Diem Pharmacist must have a broad knowledge of practice and be skilled in the techniques required to order, stock, and package and process medications in a pharmacy. The candidate will be knowledgeable of all applicable laws and regulations, as well as the accreditation standards and practices, which govern pharmacies. Ensure that policies and procedures are being followed by pharmacy staff.Facilitate effective operations of the company's home respiratory medications program.Validate all physician orders per regulatory and accreditation standards and company policy.Oversees and ensures that all necessary paperwork and documentation is completed according to policies and procedures, laws, and regulations.Responsible for documenting all clinical pharmacist interventions in the company's proprietary database and keeping accurate patient records in accordance with law and regulation and standards of practice.Ensure that inventories are maintained at an appropriate level and are available to meet current growth and demand.Follow company policies and procedures, and accreditation guidelines.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesProficient understanding of medical terminology, health conditions, and regulations as they pertain to the companyExcellent organizational skills and time management in order to manage multiple tasks throughout the dayTelephonic customer service skills including the ability to make unsolicited calls (telephonic education to external clients), while maintaining good etiquette and providing accurate informationExcellent computer and office systems skills including all MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) required and must be able to adapt quickly to learning new softwareMust have demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills as demonstrated by the ability to communicate with coworkers and managersExperience and EducationMust possess a valid and current California Pharmacist License1 year Pharmacist experience preferred
