Registered Nurse - Emergency Department - Edinburg, TX
Location: Edinburg, TX
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: 1 PM to 1 AM
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at a Freestanding Emergency Department in Edinburg, TX. The RN will be crucial in providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic setting.
Responsibilities:

Administer patient care and medications as prescribed.
Provide triage and prioritize patient needs effectively.
Conduct and assist in various emergency procedures including, but not limited to, splinting, moderate sedation, and chest tube insertion.
Coordinate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Document patient information accurately in the ED EMR - Meditech system.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications are required.
Proficiency in Meditech and strong triage skills are mandatory.
Desired Qualifications:

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
Experience in Level 1 and 2 trauma center settings.
Ability to assist in obstetric deliveries in the emergency room.
Familiarity with rapid sequence intubation techniques.
Proficiency in setting up for mechanical ventilation.
