Nurse - PT/PRN NOC Weekend Shift

Registered Nurse (RN) – Pulmonary – FT/PT/PRN – Days/Nights Location: Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. Full‑time equivalent (FTE):1.

Provides individualized quality patient care, develops and implements nursing care plans, maintains patient medical charts, applies safety principles, and escalates patient concerns when necessary. Works cooperatively with the health team and actively participates in outstanding customer service, maintaining respectful relationships with all patients and staff.

Responsibilities Evaluate, plan, implement, and document individualized nursing plans of care for patients of all ages.

Promote patient independence by establishing care goals and including patients and families in discussions of medical issues, testing, medications, and self‑care.

Provide direct patient care and support as part of the health‑care team.

Abide by Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) privacy and security regulations regarding all PHI.

Demonstrate unit‑specific competencies required by unit checklists within a reasonable orientation timeframe.

Minimum Knowledge and Skills Apply basic principles of nursing.

Typing and basic computer skills.

Multitask and prioritize care activities.

Compassion: caring, empathy, and high customer‑service standards.

Accountability: ownership of situations, projects, and issues; Respect: collaboration with a diverse population and positive service orientation toward all customers.

Excellence: strong communication and presentation skills, ability to influence and lead teams, strategize, and manage day‑to‑day operations.

Minimum Education and Experience Graduate of a nursing program (accredited).

Previous clinical experience in nursing.

Licensure or Registration Required Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Kansas. Healthcare provider BLS training through the AHA or ARC required within 30 days of start date.

Special Requirements for Surgical Services (Only) Regular and holiday call required for RNs in OR, CVOR, Endoscopy, and Perianesthesia units.

RNs in OR, CVOR, and Endoscopy must respond within 30 minutes when called.
