Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist with Level I Trauma Center and adult critical care ventilator experience for a day shift position at a large academic medical center.
Details

Works within the Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics-RRT unit at a Level I Trauma Center academic medical center
Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
Requires floating between two nearby campuses connected by shuttle service
Every other weekend work required
No on-call requirements
Uses Epic for charting
Preferred experience with Hamilton C6 ventilator
Requirements

• Current RRT and BLS certifications required
• ACLS certification required
• NRP and PALS certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience required
• Trauma experience and adult critical care ventilator experience required
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
• ECMO, NICU, and pediatric experience preferred
• License required if applicable
• 1 professional reference required

Additional Information

Provide respiratory therapy services including ventilator management, airway management, and ABG interpretation
Navy blue scrubs required
Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
COVID vaccine and booster required with religious or medical exemptions only
First-time travelers accepted
Extended time off and special scheduling accommodations will not be approved once assignment begins
Returning staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be eligible as a traveler
Local candidates not accepted within 75 miles of the facility
Travelers may be expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities
