REQUIREMENTS

• RN license required: State license or Compact license at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years RN experience
• Travel experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Preferred skills: Med-surg/post-op care, ostomy care, wound vacs, chest tube and surgical drain management, feeding tube and NGT care, IV starts/maintenance, PICC care, phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation, ABG interpretation, oxygen therapies

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a medical-surgical unit.
• Assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and health management.

COMPLIANCE / NOTES

• RTO (pre-approved time off): Max 7 days per contract; all RTO must be finalized at submission.
• Orientation: Reported 8-19 NBO hours based on contract length; modules completed during orientation.
