Structural Engineering Senior A

DPP is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace & Defense industry.

Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.

As a Structural Engineer , you will be using your skills and expertise to design, evaluate, and certify cutting-edge products and services. These cover a very wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated ground and air vehicles to orbital and space exploration systems.
You'll examine complex metallic and composite structures and systems.
Lead and manage complex structural engineering projects
Provide expert guidance on the design and analysis of metallic and composite structures
Perform high-level structural analysis and validation
Ensure compliance with all applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with executive leadership to align structural engineering initiatives with business goals
Thorough understanding of engineering principles and practices
Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools
Advanced knowledge of static strength analysis and design principles
Ability to perform classical analysis using industry standard hand calculation methods
Knowledge of industry-standard mechanical design principles, to include, but not limited to parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware selection, manufacturing and production processes
Experience in Engineering Simulation using Finite Element structural analysis (FEA) tools such as MSC Patran, Nastran, FEMAP, or ANSYS
Understanding of fatigue and damage tolerance analysis
Liaison engineering experience
Aircraft modification experience
Experience in Engineering Simulation using Finite Element structural analysis (FEA) tools such as MSC Patran, Nastran, FEMAP, or ANSYS
Experience performing fatigue and damage tolerance analysis utilizing tools such as NASGRO or AFGROW
Experience performing dynamic analysis
Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering or other related discipline
~Working Conditions: Rarely exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.) Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials. US Citizen: This role requires the ability to obtain a Secret US security clearance, which requires a thorough background search and US citizenship.
