RN, Oncology Ambulatory Care Part Time - Oncology

Role Summary:

Provides specialized nursing care in a procedural environment within the oncology outpatient clinic, supporting patient safety, monitoring, and education. Utilizes critical thinking and nursing standards to respond to complex and potentially life-threatening situations, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Performs and documents pre/post-procedure monitoring and interventions, maintaining safety protocols.

Delivers expert nursing care to a complex patient population in a fast-paced setting.

Responds effectively to emergencies, utilizing established protocols with decisiveness and composure.

Evaluates learning needs and provides age- and culturally appropriate patient and family education.

Qualifications & Skills

Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Active RN licensure; at least 6 months of RN experience, with relevant procedures experience preferred.

Current BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross, valid through sixty days of employment.

Critical thinking, decisiveness, minimal supervision, and ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations.
