Job Description
Cardiovascular Intensive Care Nurse - CVICU RN
Schedule
Night Shift
Assignment Details
Permanent placement; salary wage range negotiable.
Requirements
Current State RN Licensure
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required
Minimum of 2 years of recent Critical Care experience
Recent experience as an Open Heart Recovery Nurse preferred
Ability to operate advanced medical equipment including A-lines and invasive lines
Knowledge of cardiac telemetry and EKG interpretation
Responsibilities
Provide care for hemodynamically stable or predictably unstable cardiac patients.
Offer physical, emotional, spiritual, and cultural support to patients.
Assess and implement established policies and procedures with minimal supervision.
Provide direct patient care from admission to discharge including discharge planning.
Act as a clinical leader and assist with precepting staff.
Operate advanced medical equipment and manage patients requiring short-term ventilation support.
