Responsible for performing EEG/EKG according to physician orders at a level which does not require direct supervision. May require specialized skills and serve specific age categories, which may include adult, geriatric and pediatric patients from the neonate through the adolescent ages. The delivery of care is based upon criteria that are appropriate for the age of the patient served, and includes aspects of care related to the psychosocial, cultural, safety and learning needs of the individual patient. Minimum: Training related to EEG field or OJT.

Training in EEG and EKG. Training should include EEG theory, Neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, basic electronics and practical lab experience. Should also have attended Evoked Potential training by a qualified instructor.

Minimum: 2 years experience with above diagnostic testing required.
