The City of Clayton is hiring Police Officers who want to serve a safe, engaged, and thriving community. Salary is based on qualifications and internal equity.
Pension (City contributes 11.389%; Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Long-Term Disability insurance

• Provide police escorts, direct traffic, and conduct residential and commercial checks

Participate in and conduct in-service training programs
Serve in specialized roles such as Community Service Officer, School Resource Officer, Drug Task Force Officer, and more
Respond to emergencies, including occasional overtime or on-call needs
No two days are exactly alike-you may patrol neighborhoods in the morning, assist with an investigation in the afternoon, and help with community outreach before heading home.
Missouri POST Class A Peace Officer certification (or eligibility for out-of-state/military equivalency)
Valid high school diploma or equivalent
No felony record or convictions related to domestic violence; Knowledge of police operations, patrol procedures, investigative techniques, and relevant laws
Skill in firearms and motor vehicle operation
Full-time
Variable 12-hr shifts; including nights, weekends, and holidays
