Shift: 5 PM - 5 AM
Job Description
The Labor & Delivery unit is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. The unit features 17 beds and a diverse staff, including 1 Charge Nurse, 5-6 RNs, and an OB Scrub Tech on both day and night shifts. Patient ratios fluctuate between 1:1 to 1:3 based on acuity.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive care to patients during labor and delivery.
Administer medications and intravenous fluids as per protocols.
Monitor fetal heart rate and maternal vital signs closely.
Assist in various procedures, including C-sections and emergency interventions.
Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital experience in Labor & Delivery.
Current BLS, ACLS, and NRPAWHONN or NCC-EFM certifications required.
Experience with Meditech EMR is preferred.
Willingness to precept new staff is a plus.
