Echocardiographer (Cardiology)
Plan A Health
Role: Perform direct patient care in the cardiology department, including electrocardiograms (ECGs), stress testing, and cardiac monitoring.
Responsibilities: Review provider orders, conduct ancillary tests, educate patients on procedures, prepare equipment, analyze results, monitor patient status, troubleshoot equipment, and assist with training new staff or interns.
Qualifications & Skills: High school diploma or GED, certification as a Cardiographic Technician or similar, BLS certification, with at least 1 year of relevant experience. ACLS within 6 months of hire. Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting are essential.
Key Duties: Ensure quality of tracings, maintain equipment, respond to patient condition changes, and support department operations. The role is onsite, requiring hands-on patient interaction and technical proficiency.
