Senior Consulting Actuary

Phenom Consulting is seeking an experienced Actuary for a prominent insurance company. This role involves data and automation projects, quarterly performance monitoring, and reserve analyses within the specialty property & casualty (P&C) portfolio.

The position emphasizes developing dashboards, automating data flows and work processes, and collaborating with Pricing Actuarial, Underwriting, Claims, and Financial Services teams. Develop BI reports and dashboards to present findings to management and key stakeholders.

Enhance processes with automated models using Python or R.

Integrate data from various sources for efficient management and analysis.

Recommend improvements to streamline and automate existing actuarial data flows and processes.

Partner with Finance, Pricing Actuarial, and Claims to improve collaborative efforts.

Prepare presentation materials and communicate findings to management.

Experience Required: 5+ years of actuarial experience in P&C

Proficient in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and/or R, or demonstrated ability to learn new programming languages.

Experience in project management and process redesign is a plus.

Advanced Excel skills; Excel VBA experience is beneficial.

Familiarity with Power BI.
