Role Description The Criminal Trial Paralegal will support attorneys handling criminal prosecutions and related court proceedings. This part‑time, on‑site role in Park City, UT includes preparing, organizing, and managing criminal case files from intake through trial, including drafting routine legal documents, correspondence, and trial notebooks. The paralegal will assist with discovery, evidence management, and document review, ensuring materials are complete, accurate, and compliant with applicable rules. Daily tasks include conducting legal and factual research, summarizing police reports and witness statements, coordinating with law enforcement, court personnel, and witnesses, and tracking case deadlines and court dates. Qualifications Foundational knowledge of criminal law and court procedures, with experience supporting criminal or litigation practice.

Strong skills in legal document preparation and document review, including drafting pleadings, motions, and correspondence.

Proficient research skills, including legal research, case law review, and factual investigation using online and traditional sources.

Paralegal certificate or associate’s/bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies, criminal justice, or a related field preferred; Proficiency with standard office software, legal case management systems, and electronic document management tools.

Ability to work on‑site in Park City, UT, collaborate effectively with a legal team, and maintain professionalism when interacting with the public and justice system partners.
