To provide comprehensive medical care within scope of practice to clinic patients by cooperating with other medical professionals in a team environment, while maintaining professional medical standards. As part of UCS Healthcare, team members will follow all laws and regulations, including those at the Federal, State, and Local level. They will also adhere to all UCS policies and procedures, including patient confidentiality, HIPAA/ 42CFR part 2, and all CARF requirements. All team members will operate in alignment with UCS Healthcare’s core values, work effectively in a team environment, provide or support patient-centered services, and strive to assist UCS Healthcare in delivering the highest level of care.

Perform nursing assessments and H&P's on all new admissions or readmissions when necessary.

Perform, interpret, record, and report on-site TB tests and other testing as ordered by physician.

Perform venipuncture and injections as ordered by physician.

Carry out all physician orders including telephone orders.

Assist the physician with clinic, rooming patients and ensuring compliance.

Record and report all observed symptoms and changes in the patient's condition to the interdisciplinary team members and medical director if necessary.

Make appropriate health referrals whenever necessary.

Answer all phone calls relating to nursing/medical questions and make appropriate referrals.

Obtain urine specimens according to agency policy and federal regulation and make appropriate report of results.

Perform daily nursing assessments on patients involved in the detoxification program.

Provide first aid to patients and staff as needed and make appropriate referrals as needed.

Provide technical assistance to the staff in understanding a patient's medical problems.

Assist in monitoring patient activities while on center property.

Keep the Medical Director informed of changes that occur in clinical and medical matters.

Unrestricted license in the state of Iowa as an RN.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.

Ability to use a computer and other office equipment.

A valid driver's license is required and liability insurance or an equivalent means of reliable personal transportation and coverage as travel within the state of Iowa may be necessary.
