The Company is seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to be its first in this pivotal role. The CTO will be the senior technology leader, responsible for developing and executing a multi-year technology strategy that aligns with the organization's mission and product priorities. This includes establishing technology principles, governance processes, and investment priorities. The successful candidate will have a strong background in technology, product management, and digital transformation, with a focus on delivering customer-centered digital products. Experience in K-12 education technology and a deep understanding of modern software development, cloud infrastructure, and data integration are essential. The CTO will also be tasked with ensuring cybersecurity, privacy, and compliance with K-12 school district requirements.

The ideal candidate for the CTO position at the company will be a mission-driven leader with a passion for improving education through technology. They should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an advanced degree preferred, and at least 10 years of experience in technology leadership. The role requires a strategic thinker with a strong product mindset, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams. Experience in AI technologies and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion are also important. The CTO will work closely with the Executive Team to translate the organization's strategy into technology priorities and measurable outcomes, and will play a key role in shaping the technology foundation of a national movement in news literacy education.
