Security Professional - Property Patrol

BSG is currently seeking to hire three (3) full-time Vehicle Patrol SecurityOfficer in Marin County. These Officers will provide safety and security by performing extensive patrols (by vehicle and foot) in a professional manner for our commercial and residential properties. Patrol Security Officers operate both independently and as part of a team to deliver exceptional service and support to our clients. They conduct multiple, randomly timed stops during each patrol period to perform thorough checks of all assigned properties.

Hourly rate:After successful completion of your introductory period this position goes to $26.50 per hour.

Requirements & Qualifications : Must be at least 18 years old.

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

A valid Driver's License and a clean driving record for 3 years is required for Vehicle Patrol.

Proficient in basic computer and smartphone usage.

Must be able to speak, read, and write in English to create accurate reports; additional language skills are a plus.

Strong listening skills, patience, and compassion, particularly when interacting with community members experiencing emotional or psychological challenges.

Maintain a positive, professional demeanor in adherence to all laws, regulations, company policies, and confidentiality standards.

Ensure compliance with both company and client policies and procedures while being open to performance improvement.

At least one year of experience in security, mobile patrol, or event staff roles.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Desire to pursue a police academy, law enforcement, or criminal justice career encouraged.

Permit for an exposed firearm is a plus.

Vehicle Patrol Officer specific duties include: execute towing policies.

Generate awareness among communities.

Maintain a good working relationship with local law enforcement and first responder. This role requires specific physical abilities to ensure the Security Guard can effectively perform essential job duties. Ability to sit while driving a vehicle, stand or walk for long periods, often for several hours at a time, including traversing outdoor areas with uneven surfaces, without significant physical strain.

Regularly climb stairs and navigate multi-level buildings to perform patrols and check all areas.

Lift and Carry : Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to move or secure equipment and assist with other duties as necessary.

Ability to withstand various weather conditions during outdoor patrols, including hot, cold, rainy, or windy weather.

Ability to handle and operate security equipment, such as radios, keys, and locks.

Capable of working long hours while remaining alert and focused throughout the shift. Strong vision and hearing to observe surroundings, monitor security systems, and detect alarms or sounds of distress.

Patrol and Surveillance: Perform regular patrols of assigned areas, including multi-level buildings and outdoor spaces, while standing or walking for extended periods.

Use manual dexterity to operate security equipment such as radios, keys, and locks efficiently.

Equipment Handling: Lift and carry equipment or materials weighing up to 50 pounds to assist with security tasks or emergencies.

Utilize strong vision and hearing abilities to monitor surroundings, identify potential security threats, and detect alarms or sounds of distress.

Maintain focus and remain alert throughout long shifts, ensuring the safety and security of the premises.

Reporting and Documentation: Keep accurate and detailed activity logs, documenting all patrols, incidents, and observations during the shift.

Adhere to legal standards, company policies, and client-specific protocols.

Maintain grooming and uniform standards consistently to project a polished and authoritative presence.
