The Histology Tech is responsible for processing surgical specimens, body fluids and secretions for microscopic examination and with excellent customer service skills, assists pathologist in gross examination of specimens in a safe manner.

Demonstrates competency in performance of department procedures.

Demonstrates competent performance skills in Quality Assurance, Quality Control.

Demonstrates fiscal responsibility for property, equipment & supplies.

Prefer graduate of two year college program with 1+ year(s) training in an accredited school of Histotechnology.

Prefer 1+ year(s) of hospital experience as a Histotechnologist.

The Histotech must have specific technical knowledge of laboratory testing methods and theory pertinent to job position. The need knowledge of operating and maintaining laboratory instruments pertinent to job position.
