Job Description
Purpose and Scope
The PT Interpreter II functions as an advanced-level, professional interpreter for LSC students, faculty, staff, and administration and for visitors who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing to maintain compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Interpreters strive to advance sign language proficiency to provide the highest level of professional interpreter services.
Interpreters support and promote all persons’ right to communication equity in learning and workplace environments.
Essential Job Functions
Provides Sign Language translation (voice and signing) and related Sign Language formats:
