Travel Registered Nurse RN Emergency

Pay Rate: Up to $83/ hr combined (taxable hourly + tax-free allowances for travel, housing, meals). Rates may vary and are subject to change.
Position Summary
The Vascular In t e r ventional Rad i ology RN provides specialized nurs in g care for patients undergo in g m in imally in vasive image-guided procedures. The nurse works collaboratively with in t e r ventional rad i ologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate patient care before, dur in g, and after in t e r ventional procedures.
Key Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment & Preparation
• Conduct pre-procedure assessments, review patient history, allergies, medications, and lab results.
• Educate patients and families about the procedure, sedation, recovery, and post-procedure expectations.
• Ensure in formed consent is obta in ed and documented properly.
• Prepare procedural equipment, supplies, and medications accord in g to physician preference and protocol.
• In t ra-Procedure Responsibilities
• Monitor and document patient vital signs, level of consciousness, and physiological responses dur in g procedures.
• Adm in ister moderate sedation under physician supervision per protocol.
• Ma in t a in sterile technique and assist the in t e r ventional team with in strumentation and patient position in g.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and perform appropriate in t e r ventions (e.g., a ir way management, ACLS).
• Post-Procedure Care
• Provide recovery care, monitor for complications such as bleed in g, allergic reactions, or changes in condition.
• Perform post-procedure assessments, remove vascular sheaths, and apply appropriate hemostasis .
• Provide discharge teach in g, in clud in g site care, activity restrictions, and follow-up in structions.
• Collaboration & Documentation
• Communicate effectively with physicians, technologists, and other team members.
• Document nurs in g care, medications, sedation, and patient responses accurately in the EMR.
• Participate in quality assurance, process improvement, and safety in itiatives.

Qualifications

• Education: G rad uate of an accredited nurs in g program; BSN preferred.
• Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.

~ Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) requ ir ed .
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) requ ir ed .
• Moderate sedation certification per hospital policy.
• CCRN or CVRN preferred.

Experience

• M in imum of 2 years of critical care, emergency, or in t e r ventional rad i ology nurs in g experience preferred.
• Familiarity with conscious sedation, hemodynamic monitor in g, and sterile procedures strongly des ir ed.
