TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Oxnard, California, 93030!

Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry
Oxnard, CA | Acute Care / Telemetry (Float Pool – may float to a second facility approximately 9 miles away)
Contract | Night Shift | 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | No block scheduling | Expected 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule | Holiday requirement includes one major and one minor holiday
Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity telemetry setting with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, managing diagnoses such as pneumonia, CHF, COPD, end-stage renal disease, post-cath lab, and respiratory distress
Read and sign off on telemetry strips using Phillips monitoring systems; monitor technicians are present on each unit but RN sign-off is required
Float as needed to other units (telemetry, med-surg, and ER for med-surg/telemetry holds) as well as to a second affiliated facility to work telemetry or med-surg
Practice primary care nursing with limited support resources; Complete floor-specific orientation including one shift on the home unit, one shift on each additional unit, and orientation at the float facility
Active RN license valid in California
Minimum 2–3 years of RN experience; travel nursing experience preferred
Ability to independently read telemetry strips
Prior travel nursing experience
Familiarity with Cerner EMR
Experience in a high-acuity or resource-limited telemetry environment
Work in a well-supported clinical environment with Respiratory Therapy and Pharmacy available 24/7, charge nurse coverage on every shift, and hospitalist support
Gain diverse experience across telemetry, med-surg, and DOU patient populations through a structured float pool assignment
