Rayburn Correctional Center is seeking a dedicated, highly motivated Corrections Lieutenant to join our leadership team. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the safety, security, and operational integrity of the facility. As a Corrections Lieutenant, you will oversee daily operations, support staff development, ensure policy compliance, and contribute to a secure and orderly environment for both staff and inmates.
Possession of a high school diploma or GED; One year of experience in any field; An applicant who has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence or a felony, or who is under indictment on a felony charge will be disqualified until relief from the disabilities imposed by state and federal laws is granted.
engaged in sexual activity in the community facilitated by force, overt or implied threats of force, or coercion, or if the victim did not consent or was unable or refused will be disqualified.
Conducts on the job training to insure officers understand duties which have been assigned and performs his duties in an efficient, acceptable manner.
Assists with setup of roll call and with staff inspections.
This position serves as supervisor, under the direction of a Corrections Captain and a Shift Major, to Master Sergeants, Sergeants and Cadets
Appointment Type: DETAIL OF A permanent, classified employee of LA DPS&C - CORRECTIONS SERVICES (Adult DOC)
~ This position has a Special Entrance Rate (SER) of $26.79 per hour.

This is a 24-hour facility.
