This position is responsible for building and grounds cleanliness and maintenance to provide a healthy and safe learning environment for students, families, and staff. This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining all spa ces at Mahatomedi High School as well as accommodating facility users in the buildings.

Cleaning and Maintenance
Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and general cleaning of assigned areas.

Sanitizing and cleaning restrooms, including mirrors, wash basins, urinals, commodes, and slop sinks.

Handling basic building repairs and troubleshooting, including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, doors, and furniture.

Setting up for athletic, school, and community events.

Cleaning specified areas after special events.

Turning off lights, locking doors, and performing building checks.

Effectively communicating using telephone, radio, email, and in-person interactions.

Directing and coordinating with facility users and other staff members.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Prior experience in custodial or maintenance work preferred.

Basic understanding and ability to use computers and technology; ability to perform minor repairs and maintenance.
