RN - Emergency Department- PRN

Seconds count in an emergency, and every caregiver in the ED plays a critical role in protecting patient safety and health. As an RN on this team, you will deliver exceptional care, throughout the patient care journey. In this role, you will interact directly with patients and their families, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and provide healthcare education as needed.
This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers working evenings between 11:00 a.m. Provide direct nursing care.
Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
Monitor, record, document and communicate patients' conditions.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC - adult) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC - pediatric) upon hire or within 24 months of hire
One year of current acute care RN experience and/or Emergency Department (ED) experience OR licensed military RN experience
Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Five years of prior (recent) ER experience as an RN
Acute care experience (Tele/stepdown/MedSurg)
such as files, documents and computer printouts.
Work requires finger dexterity and eye/hand coordination to operate a computer keyboard at a moderate skill level.
Ability to work at a fast pace and prioritize multiple assignments/projects and respond to numerous requests; ability to resolve conflicts among staff and to work collaboratively with department directors, physicians and other members of the healthcare team; ability to exercise self-control and tolerate stress when dealing with multiple requests and/or conflicting demands from multiple customers.
