As an OT - Hand Therapist, You'll Achieve Success By:

Reviewing patient medical history and developing individualized treatment plans

Using exercises, stretching, equipment, and manual therapy to manage pain and improve mobility

Licensed Occupational Therapist (or ability to obtain in the state of practice)

Basic computer skills

CPR and first aid certification required

Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) strongly preferred OR

CHT-eligible (minimum 4,000 hours of hand therapy experience and 3 years of practice), awaiting board examination, OR

Level II fieldwork in hand therapy, with relevant continuing education, and 12 years of outpatient hand therapy experience as a licensed OT, OR

New grads with Level II fieldwork in hand therapy with a strong clinical interest in upper extremity rehabilitation and a commitment to pursuing advanced training and certification in hand therapy
