Direct Support Professional: Assisted Living: Part Time, 2nd Shift

Community Options, Inc. is a national non‑profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states. We are now hiring part‑time and PRN Direct Support Professionals (DSP), Caregivers, Direct Care Staff, Home Health Aides in Rio Rancho, NM to provide person‑centered care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. No experience required - we provide paid training. Starting pay rate: $17.00 per hour. Multiple shifts available. Must have valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Provide direct care tailored to each individual’s Individual Support Plan (ISP)/Person Centered Plan (PCP)

Assist with daily routines including cleaning, cooking, feeding, medication administration, and personal hygiene

Monitor health and medical needs, reporting concerns promptly

Support learning and development of independent and community‑based skills

Participate with individuals in community, social, and recreational activities

Drive individuals to medical appointments and community activities

Ensure program documentation and billable records are completed accurately and timely

Build a support network by developing relationships with community members, businesses, and families

Maintain clean and safe work locations and vehicles

Cooperate with licensee and department staff during inspections, inquiries, or investigations

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or GED

Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record

First Aid, CPR, OSHA, Therapy, medication certification, completion of Relias training courses

Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals

Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situations

Working Conditions

Work in residential programs, day programs, and community settings

Transport individuals using own vehicle or company‑provided vehicles

Schedule may change, including evenings and weekends

Overtime may be required

May be required to lift or move 25+ pounds
