Cardiac Monitoring Nurse

Provide specialized nursing care to post-operative cardiac and vascular patients in a dedicated stepdown unit. Ensure patient safety, facilitate recovery, and maintain high standards of clinical excellence in a fast-paced environment.
Monitor and interpret cardiac strips with the support of Cardiac Monitoring Technicians.
Collaborate with Charge Nurses and House Supervisors to coordinate patient care and unit operations.
Perform post-op assessments and manage complex cardiac and vascular surgical patients recovering from procedures such as CABG, valve replacements, LVAD, TAVRs, AAA repairs, and angiograms.
Adhere to established protocols for infection control, safety, and quality patient care standards.
Active Registered Nurse license in the state and relevant cardiac/vascular experience.
Familiarity with common cardiac diagnoses including STEMI, NSTEMI, heart failure, and post-surgical recovery.
Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, and float to sister units within the Heart and Vascular Institute.
