Job Summary The Program Manager supports the development, implementation, and evaluation of pathway programs, partnerships, and initiatives that advance the mission of the WFUSM and Office of Pathway Programs. Working closely with the Associate Director, this role helps create educational and experiential opportunities that support learners from K-12 through graduate and professional education, fostering personal and professional growth while strengthening the future healthcare workforce. The position also supports program operations, partnership development, budget stewardship, data analysis, and strategic initiatives aimed at expanding access and addressing the gaps that impact health care.
Education/Experience Bachelor's degree with two years of relevant experience required.
Master's degree in Health Administration, Business Administration or related field preferred.
Two years' experience in project management, program management development, administration or supervisory experience required.
Essential Functions Program Implementation and Coordination
Create and execute pathway program(s) and support implementation of activities, curricula and workshops involving Character, Leadership & Flourishing.
Assist in development and maintenance of the various programs' materials, which include communication templates, educational materials, forms, reports, newsletters, and other program resources.
Assist with development, administration and promotion of specific projects (e.g., create surveys to assess interns' program experience and report responses).
Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and outcomes to support successful and timely completion of pathway program initiatives.
Nurture and sustain partnerships with students, parents, alumni, community organizations, and other institutions in ways that enhance pathway program resources and opportunities.
Program Operations and Partnerships
Assist in creating and fostering a supportive office environment that encourages open dialogue and personal growth.
Assist with the operational aspects of partnership development and program alignment with educational goals.
Assist in the supervision of contracted program staff to ensure the quality of service provided and achievement of program goals.
Provide guidance and support to pathway program leaders on navigating institutional policies and operational procedures.
Serve as a liaison between pathway programs, faculty, staff, students, educational partners, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
Data Management and Resource Hub (Pathway Programs Hub)
Assist in management and accuracy of the WFUSM Office of Pathway Programs central database for internal and external access.
Assist in the oversight of the volunteer and mentor/mentee matching system within the database.
Participate in program evaluation by collecting and analyzing data in support of key performance metrics.
Assist in the management of shared systems and processes for program evaluation and support the implementation of enhancements based on the Director's strategic decisions.
Prepare periodic reports and analyses reflecting program progress, trends, outcomes, and opportunities for improvement.
Support quality reporting, operational initiatives, and data-driven decision-making through effective management and interpretation of program data.
Assist with the development of surveys, assessments, and reporting tools to evaluate program effectiveness and participant outcomes.
Assist with tracking program-related expenditures, maintaining records, and supporting budget and financial reporting activities as assigned.
Represent the Office of Pathway Programs at conferences, workshops, and community events.
Promote a cooperative work environment through effective communication, interpersonal relationships, and team building.
Support the successful execution and evaluation of assigned programs and projects and contribute to achieving desired program outcomes.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of the Pathways Office.
Strong PC background in computer spreadsheets systems and presentation packages.
Ability to manage special projects, work under pressure, meet deadlines.
Customer service orientation.
