Key Responsibilities- Maintain landscapes throughout golf course, club amenities, residential homes and common areas to include but not limited to weeding, lawn mowing, and string trimming, edging, mulching, fertilizing, pruning, and raking.- Install new landscape plantings and annual color (spring and fall) at residential homes, on the golf course, and around the club.- Water and maintain new plantings as well as annual plantings.- Basic knowledge of proper chemical and fertilizer applications to maintain a healthy and aesthetically pleasing landscape.- Safe operation of all hand tools, large and small equipment such as push mowers, zero turn mowers, skid steer, tractors and mini-excavator.- Assist with landscape projects as requested.- Participate in daily set-up/closing of the departments' tools and equipment.- Report any safety or maintenance issues immediately to the Landscape Manager/Horticulturist.- Qualifications- Prior experience in landscaping, preferably within a residential or hospitality environment.- Ability to operate landscape machinery such as push rotary mowers, string trimmers, backpack blowers, utility vehicles, and riding mowers.- Plant knowledge/Horticultural Practices knowledge a plus.Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
