Job Description
Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (MS Tele RN)
About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse to join our team for night shifts. This position involves a schedule of 3x12 hour shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with a nursing ratio of 1:6. Mandatory weekend coverage is required every other weekend, and candidates should be flexible to float within their scope to meet facility needs.
Unit Details

• Newly built unit, featuring state-of-the-art bedside monitoring capabilities for telemetry, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry.
• Split charge responsibilities between stepdown and the 3 west unit.
• Current unit capacity: 18 beds.
• No scheduled off-shift management; leadership is accessible during off-shift hours and available via phone.
• 24/7 house supervisor coverage.

Qualifications
Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Medical Surgical and Telemetry nursing with a solid understanding of dysrhythmias and telemetry interpretation.
Licensure: South Carolina license or Compact license must be held prior to starting.
Certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
Preferred Experience: Experience working in a community hospital setting is advantageous.
First-Time Travelers: Accepted.
Other Details
Open to accommodating block schedules upon request, though not guaranteed.
Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are welcome to apply, though they will be compensated at a rate 10% less than travelers from outside the area.
All requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application and will be evaluated based on facility needs.
Guaranteed hours policy allows for one shift cancellation every two weeks.
Emergency Preparedness
Please note that during hurricane season, all personnel may be assigned to emergency response teams. Candidates should consider this when accepting assignments. Hurricane season lasts from June through November, with peak activity expected in August and September.
