Roaming Maintenance Techs within Fairway Management play a key role in the organization by providing support at a regional level and filling in to perform routine maintenance duties including rough carpentry, painting and basic equipment or facility repairs, training, and preparation for state, and investor inspections. This role involves regular travel.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and investor regulations and policies.
Must be willing to do daily travel within region.
Prepare for state agency, and investor inspections and ensure Osha and EPA property compliance.
Must have applicable maintenance tools.
Lead make ready process with unit turns in a timely manner. Including but not limited to painting, carpet cleaning, and general unit cleaning as needed.
Perform quarterly preventative maintenance checks.
Must be able to perform all physical requirements of position including but not limited to being able to lift up to 55lbs, work in enclosed spaces such as attics and crawl spaces, work outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
Must be willing to assist neighboring properties in maintenance tasks.
Reports to Regional Manager and Maintenance Superintendent for all delegated tasks.
Travel to, and participate in, both regional and corporate training and/or conferences as required.
Maintain positive and professional relationships with residents, vendors, and other staff members.
Make the manager aware of any health and safety concerns on site.
Must be willing to work overtime as needed and approved
Must train assigned staff company systems, building systems, and safety training as well as general maintenance training for Maintenance Tech I and II's.
Prepares properties for REAC or INSPIRE inspections.
High School diploma or the equivalent

5 years of multifamily, commercial, or hotel maintenance experience

• Must have 1 to 2 years of verifiable HVAC troubleshooting, repairs, and installation experience.
• Must have working knowledge in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and building operating systems (ie. Door entry systems, fire suppression systems, etc.)
