As a member of the Purchasing team, the Senior Buyer will be responsible for driving material cost reductions, executing strategic sourcing initiatives, leading supplier negotiations, proactively identifying supply chain risks, and supporting tariff mitigation activities, including supplier resourcing. The job holder will be responsible for all tactical aspects of supply chain procurement methodologies required to support plant and customer requirements.
Leads development and implementation of cost saving programs
Manages sourcing selection of material with best-in-class cost and quality
Has familiarity with commercial terms and total cost management concepts
Conducts necessary visits to Lear or supplier plants (%)
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Minimum 3-5 years of purchasing experience
Automotive cross functional experience
