Job Summary The overall purpose of the Housekeeping Assistant position is to perform scheduled housekeeping tasks as may be assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor. This position may mop, sweep, dust, wash windows, shampoo and vacuum carpets, arrange furniture, etc. and generally clean furniture, equipment, fixtures and hardware.
Qualifications Experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance is helpful.
Experience in the use of floor-care equipment is helpful.
Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
Essential Functions Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas on a daily basis and in accordance with Facility protocols.
Uses proper chemicals in proper portions. Utilizes proper chemicals and equipment to wash and dry windows.
Requests needed supplies and equipment from Supervisor.
Has reviewed Cantex Continuing Care Network Policy and Procedures for Abuse Prevention and knows the employees responsibility to enforce it.
Responsible for assuring patient/resident safety.
