Bank Teller (Fully Remote)

We are seeking an experienced Bank Teller for a direct hire opportunity in San Mateo, CA. This role is ideal for a customer-focused banking professional who enjoys building relationships, supporting branch growth, and providing accurate, efficient financial services to consumer and business clients.

The Bank Teller will support daily teller transactions, open and service accounts, identify customer needs, and recommend appropriate banking products and services. Interview and profile customers to understand their financial needs and recommend appropriate banking products and services.

• Open and support consumer and business accounts, including checking, savings, CDs, IRAs, and Trust and Estate Accounts.
• Process teller transactions accurately, maintain excellent balancing records, and respond to client account inquiries.
• Cross-sell bank products and services, refer customers to appropriate internal partners, and support branch profitability goals.
• Maintain compliance with banking regulations, new account procedures, documentation requirements, and Bank Secrecy Act guidelines.

Compensation: $26.00 to $30.00 per hour.

Provide accurate teller transaction processing, cash handling, and account servicing.

• Open and maintain consumer and business deposit accounts with proper documentation.
• Identify customer needs, cross-sell banking products, and refer clients to appropriate banking partners.
• Support branch sales goals, customer retention, and business development activities.
• 6 to 10 years of banking, teller, new accounts, or branch customer service experience.
• Understanding of new account laws, account titling, required documentation, and banking compliance procedures.
• Ability to support Treasury Services needs such as remote deposit capture, armored service, and courier service.
• Strong cash handling, balancing, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with customer profiling, needs-based selling, and branch business development.
• Strong track record of customer retention, relationship building, and referral generation.
