Principal Engineering Automation

Direct Recruiters

Director of Engineering Lead engineering strategy and execution for an industrial automation product portfolio, with ownership of the full product development lifecycle (concept through production and support)

Build structure, governance, and accountability across engineering, implementing scalable processes and development frameworks

Drive global engineering strategy, including building and scaling an independent offshore team (Taiwan) to support long-term growth

Oversee firmware-heavy product development across integrated hardware, mechanical, and emerging IoT/data-driven systems

Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of products, improving project execution, quality, and cross-functional alignment

Partner with Product Management, Operations, and Supply Chain to align engineering priorities with business objectives, cost targets, and manufacturability

Lead, develop, and scale high-performing engineering teams, establishing clear direction, performance standards, and accountability

Requirements: 10+ years engineering experience (7+ years leadership) in industrial automation, material handling, motion control, or industrial motors; proven experience building global/offshore teams; strong technical depth with ability to challenge and guide engineering decisions

Location: must live in or relocate to Milwaukee
