Supply Chain/ Procurement/ Buyer- Urgent Need

Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 3:30PM

This position will be responsible for maintaining supply inventory levels required for effective company operations. Develop, maintain, and qualify suppliers following STEICO active processes for necessary support of raw material, fittings, and outside services.

Regular visits to suppliers to ensure quality and delivery standards.

Generate, review and action vendor delivery reports also working along with Quality Dept for vendor quality reports.

Maintain accurate reports and current database of vendor information and open order reports.

Send RFQ's to vendors identifying special requirements by generating and reviewing purchasing demand reports.

Create purchase orders for spot buys and long lead materials, supplies and services at the most favorable terms for STEICO.

When necessary as backup, review blue prints and specifications ensuring correct revisions and Manufacturer are being used prior to procurement of fittings and hardware.

Follow active process for measuring supply inventory and determining purchasing needs based on quarterly and annual numbers and customer forecasts.

Requires high school diploma, or equivalent

Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a minimum of 4 years experience in a purchasing role in that environment

Requires working knowledge of computer, scanner, facsimile machine, copier and any other standard office equipment

Intermediate working knowledge in the MS Office suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook
