COOK - Congress AZ (near Wickenburg)

Salary: $18.00 hr - $ 26.00 hr

Job Summary

Prepares, seasons and bake PIZZA, APPETIZERS and CHICKEN WINGS. Also prepares House salads and Chef Salads

General Accountabilities

Inspects and clean food preparation areas or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices.

Ensures food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating temperature of ovens

Ensures freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock.

Seasons and cooks food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience.

Observes and tests foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently.

Washes, peels, cuts vegetables to prepare them for consumption.

Consults with supervisory staff to plan menus, taking into consideration factors such as costs and special event needs.

Pay attention to quality, correct measuring and presentation of dishes

Help receiving and organizing weekly food delivery

Be a team player and help where needed

Rotate ovens and follow the schedule for deep cleaning

Job Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: One year of related experience

Must have AZ Food handler or Manager credentials

Must live within reasonable commuting location

Must have verifiable references
