Dental Hygienist - Health Plan

Marquis Mobile Dental Services provides onsite dentistry to residents in long‑term care nursing facilities throughout the state of Ohio. We are seeking a traveling Registered Dental Hygienist to join our Ohio team. Applicants should be comfortable traveling and prefer the relative autonomy this position provides. Travel Distance

Provide dental health education about tooth care and diet

Treat and help prevent gingivitis and periodontitis

Take dental radiographs of teeth as required

Apply prophylactic/antibacterial materials, fissure sealants, and topical fluorides to help prevent tooth decay

Carry out screening and monitoring procedures

Use a range of different dental instruments

Clean and sterilize all equipment and working surfaces to the required standards at the end of each session

Follow health and safety guidelines in all aspects, including when taking X‑rays, disposing of sharp and clinical waste, resuscitation, and emergency procedures

Obey all dental ethical guidelines, including all rules on confidentiality and data protection

Report equipment failures or breakages to the principal or practice manager so that action may be taken to remedy any defects

Follow all practice policies and procedures

A desire to work with the geriatric population on a daily basis, including a strong understanding of the dental and oral care required for this demographic

Knowledge of dentistry and dental terminology

Computer proficiency and the ability to learn new programs
