Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Teller role based in the Detroit Metropolitan Area. The Teller is responsible for performing routine banking transactions such as cash deposits and withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, and balance inquiries with accuracy and efficiency. The role includes verifying identification, safeguarding cash and negotiable instruments, and following bank policies and procedures for security and compliance. The Teller will respond to customer questions, refer customers to appropriate banking products and services, and support branch sales initiatives. Additional responsibilities include balancing the cash drawer daily, maintaining organized records, and collaborating with branch team members to ensure a positive customer experience.

Strong cash-handling and basic math skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.

Customer service and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with diverse clients and build positive relationships.

Verbal and written communication skills for clear explanations of products, policies, and transaction details.

Ability to learn and use banking systems, point-of-sale terminals, and standard office software efficiently.

Understanding of or willingness to learn bank security, regulatory, and compliance procedures.

Ability to work on-site, stand for extended periods, and manage a steady flow of customers in a busy branch environment.

Prior experience in retail, banking, or customer-facing roles is beneficial but not required.

High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in finance, business, or related fields is a plus.
