Responsibilities

Assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct automotive parts and accessories using product knowledge and inventory systems

Process sales transactions efficiently through POS (Point of Sale) systems while handling cash, credit, or digital payments with professionalism

Manage inventory control by stocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and updating records using inventory management software such as CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)

Collaborate with the service team to fulfill parts orders promptly, ensuring timely vehicle repairs and maintenance

Maintain accurate documentation of sales, orders, and inventory levels; utilize Microsoft Excel for tracking data when necessary

Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone or in person with clear communication skills and friendly demeanor

Support dealership marketing efforts by promoting available products and special offers to enhance retail sales

Skills

Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, repair, and service procedures to assist customers effectively

Excellent negotiation skills to upsell parts and accessories while maintaining customer satisfaction

Bilingual or multilingual abilities to serve a diverse customer base are highly valued

Familiarity with inventory management tools like CMMS and POS systems for seamless order fulfillment and stock control

Proven organizational skills to manage stock levels, process orders accurately, and maintain a tidy work environment

Experience with retail math for calculating discounts, totals, and profit margins accurately

Effective communication skills for engaging with customers, team members, and vendors both in person and over the phone

Knowledge of dealership experience or retail sales environments enhances your ability to succeed in this role

Basic automotive repair understanding to better assist customers with vehicle maintenance questions

Strong math skills for handling cashiering duties such as cash handling and transaction balancing
